Vandana Akka teaches Marathi and is a houseparent of senior girls.
She is truly inspired by the intent from which the school is born. The kind of space one gets here to learn and grow. The atmosphere where teaching and learning seamlessly merge into one another. And of course, the beauty of nature that surrounds it.
For her, Sahyadri is much more than a home and much more than a school. She loves to explore the vast premises of the school where she can be herself and also places where enriching and meaningful conversations happen.
Her favourite quote is by J Krishnamurti – “To understand life is to understand ourselves.”
