Mira Madhavan B.Sc (Nursing), D.Ed in Integrated Education
Mira teaches English and Social Studies to the Junior School students at Sahyadri School. She is also the House Parent of the girls at Alaknanda Dorm.
She is inspired by the philosophy of the school – where students learn for life, learn by doing and through observation in a non-competitive, non-threatening environment. She is also inspired by the serene and breath-taking location of the school and the small classrooms and the happy and friendly relationship that exists between the kids and the teachers.
Her two favourite quotes that inspire are – “It takes a village to raise a child” and Education is not preparation for life; Education is life itself.”
